At 7:45 AM (Oregon time), I received an email from Julie (at our adoption agency) saying our dossier has been "unofficially approved" by ICBF in Colombia. Here's the word:
Unofficial word is that your dossier has been approved. We don't have the official letter yet that says it, but they told Lucia that you are approved. They know that you want both a boy and a girl and they are looking right now to see where there are children of the right ages and genders so they can send your dossier out for assignment. So be praying!
My heart jumped in my chest when I read this brief message. And then I read it again...and again. :-) Getting this word, even an "unofficial" word, suddenly made it seem real - that we really will be bringing kids into our family sometime soon. (With "soon" being a relative term, of course!) ;-)
Of course, the next thought was: "Yikes! There's still so much to DO to get ready!" :-O
Anyway, I'm glad to finally be able to share some news with you that things are moving forward. Thanks for praying with us as we wait eagerly to meet the kids we believe God has chosen just for us.
(Oh, and as a friend pointed out, I guess Friday the 13th is a GOOD day for us!!) ;-)

That is sooo exciting. It is good we began Stage 1 at work. We might be moving to Stage 2 sooner than we anticipated which would be okay with me. Naomi :)
