After waiting patiently (well, mostly) for 2-1/2 weeks, this morning I received a call from Ashley at CHI saying, "I think I have something you've been waiting for!" "Hallelujah!" was my response!! :-)
Moments later, I received in my email inbox a photo of two beautiful children and a 13-page bio/psych/social report on the two of them. I was supposed to be working, but you know I just couldn't wait to read through the report and stare at their photo. (I did get my work done too, eventually!)
And in the mail today, we received our updated FBI clearances - is that perfect timing, or what? (We received our updated medical letter on Tuesday.) The pieces are coming together.
Forgive me if I still don't share too many details at this point. Frankly, I'm not certain what I can share (I know I can't post the photo - at least not yet), and until we give our definite "yes" I think I'll just hold off a bit longer. (Sorry!!)
I will say that, as we've been confidently praying all along, they do seem in many ways like they were hand-picked just for us (and, of course, we believe they were!). Apparently, she likes to play volleyball and he likes to play with toy cars - anyone who knows my husband will instantly recognize that these are two of his favorite pastimes (ok, he "plays" with real cars)! And they are both described as being "sensitive" - I suspect that people who know me might choose that as a word to describe me as well.
To say I'm excited would be putting it mildly. It's pretty amazing to think that we've finally gotten to this point and soon we will have our very own niños in the house with us! Thanks again to those of you who have been praying with us for this day and the days ahead - don't stop! I can't wait to be able to say to you, "These are our kids!" :-)

Oh, that is so exciting! You will stare at those pictures many, many times as you prepare your journey to Colombia!
I also felt as if our kids were "hand-picked" for us. It's amazing how God creates families, isn't it??
Congratulations! What wonderful news!
Isn't it amazing how one phone call can forever alter your life?
One minute you're a married couple. The next your a married couple of parents!
Hope all the red-tape doesn't tangle and you can wrap your arms around those kids. I wish I lived nearby, I'd throw a shower. Adoptive parents of kids of any age should have a shower. :)
Congratulations and blessings as you continue to process! How exciting. We look forward to following your journey.
How exciting to finally get to see their faces and read about your children! Janine is right, you will stare at those pictures alot in the next few weeks.
